FM and UL/ULC Firestop Exams

For those Specialty Firestop Contractors and Special Inspection Agencies conducting specialty firestop inspections that are looking to set themselves apart from the competition, the FM 4991 Approved, UL/ULC Qualified Contractor, and IAS AC 291* Programs are credible 3rd-party accreditation programs.  For all three programs, the first step towards becoming an Accredited firm is taking - and PASSING - the Firestop Exams.

2019 Exam Dates**

Preparing for the FM and UL/ULC Firestop Exams is a long process.  Both exams are based on the FCIA Firestop Manual of Practice and are offered at ALL FCIA Conferences and Symposiums throughout North America, Canada, and the Middle East..

To help prepare for the exams, FCIA offers a 4-hour Education and Management System Manual Seminar before the Firestop Exams.  The seminars cover the key points likely to be found on the Firestop Exams, as well as an overview of the Quality Management System Manual requirements for each of the three programs.

FCIA Members save on the FCIA Firestop Manual of Practice and the FCIA Education for the Firestop Exam education sessions.
