FM and UL/ULC Firestop Examinations

The first step to becoming FM 4991 Approved, UL/ULC Qualified or IAS AC 291 Accredited is to take - and PASS - the Firestop Exam.

For those Specialty Firestop Contractors and Special Inspection Agencies conducting specialty firestop inspections that are looking to set themselves apart from the competition, the FM 4991 Approved, UL/ULC Qualified Contractor and IAS AC 291* Programs were developed to offer companies a credible 3rd party Quality Management System Program.  For all three programs, the first step towards becoming an Accredited firm is taking - and PASSING - the Firestop Exams.

* The IAS AC 291 for Special Inspection Agencies requirement of taking the Firestop Exam can be fulfilled with either the FM Firestop Exam OR the UL/ULC Firestop Exam.
