Friends and colleagues, the Firestop Contractors International Association has just celebrated our 20th Anniversary in spectacular fashion. It is amazing to look back upon the work of so many exceptional industry leaders to see the impact they have had and all that has been accomplished. What an exciting time for our industry and our Association!
I have to say it is a tremendous honor and privilege to follow in the service of so many exceptional leaders. I appreciate the faith the membership has shown in me by electing me to serve on this Board of Directors, and I am very humbled by the Board’s decision to give me the honor of leading as President of the Board.
It is truly an honor for me to be the 2020-21 president for this exciting year. I have been fortunate enough to be around for 14 of the 20 years, and I have personally witnessed great strides with constant improvement and growth.
I would like to thank the previous Boards and Officers for the many years of service and leadership which has moved this industry forward in so many ways. Their efforts have created the energy and momentum with which we can continue to push forward and grow the impact and influence of our Association upon the world. I would like to say thank you to our many talented Committee members for their continued work. Your effort and commitment are truly appreciated.
We have strong leadership in place within our very active and effective Committees and Staff, and I am confident that the FCIA will continue to grow in geographic influence and expand our initiatives and offerings through their efforts. As we grow, we will continue to bring in and develop new leaders to take on new challenges and work to improve our industry.
Please know that there are many opportunities for you to jump into our story; a story that is being written about the growth and development of the firestopping & fire- and life-safety industry. I look forward to the opportunity to join you all at our upcoming conferences and industry events.
